Large pleated lampshade

This week was an extra special week. Not only did we do a very large pleated shade, but all the shades we made were white, black or a black white combination. What a week.

This lampshade is knife pleated and a pendant of 80 cm. Wow a biggie!

The stripe chandelier shades are always to die for!

And vertical stripe lampshades leave an excellent event impression... Come back for more...

I wonder whats up for next week...

Canvas print lampshades

Did you know that you can have prints done of your favourite pics and change into lampshades?

Faces Around Cape Town (fact) produces a unique range of canvas and leather bags that bare photographic interpretations of township life - showing colourful images of characters in and around the community as well as wild life and wild flower scenery's. They have expanded their range to include lampshades.

And this is what the lampshades look like:

Old and new

We are recovering this beautiful empress style lampshade and will finish it off with this lovely, beaded trim.  To match the decor in the room, we also make a Big bell shape lampshade.  I am so excided as it will be stunning once completed.

Double drum lampshade

This double drum fits a large over hang standing lamp. There was originally only one lampshade on the base. When the client renovated the room, they mentioned that they would prefer a double drum. We made a large, narrow outer shade and a longer narrow one inside. We used silver/black barok print outside and white silk for the inner drum.

Gold inside

Yesterday, we delivered a double lampshade. We lined the inside in gold (which gives beautiful warm glow when the light is on), and it was covered in a fireworks fabric. This hanging lampshade is nearly one meter long. The lampshade was commisioned for Salome Gunter Interiors in Cape Town.
