Does your lampshade fit to high or to low on the lampshade base? It's a recess problem!
The recess is the section between the shade ring, and the end of the electrical fitting.
For a standard South African lampshade ring, the recess is 20mm.
For international lampshade rings (40mm inner), we normal use a 50mm recess.
The recess can be changed to fit the lampshade higher or lower on the lampshade base.
Orders are done in standard recess sizes, and should this differ, we should be advised accordingly when ordering.
For larger Shades on Standing Bases the Recess will be much larger.For a standard South African lampshade ring, the recess is 20mm.
